1st January 2008 - Club News Letter

COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The two New companies are now up and ready to go. Each member should now have received the documents relating to the changeover procedures required now for the Club to operate under its new banners. Enclosures include a Notice of an EGM on 21st February 2008, 7.30 pm at the Clubhouse, to which you are all invited, and at which a special resolution is proposed to dissolve Ayre Clay Pigeon Club, as stated. However, if you are unable to attend would you please complete the enclosed proxy and return to me ASAP and no later than 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Two forms which should also be completed and returned. These forms recognise your membership (as a Life Member or Standard Member) of Ayre Clay Target Club Ltd (new name too!) and Blue Point Properties Ltd. It is important that your address details are correct - please include your Postcode.

Further documents relate to Memoranda and Articles of Association for the new companies, along with a copy of the Club Rules. These Rules replace those details of the ‘old constitution’ which are not mentioned in the new M. & A.s and can be amended by written suggestion to the Committee.

**Please take time to complete and return the forms requested above. If you have not received these forms please contact the club secretary as soon as possible.

HEART FOUNDATION FINAL

The Annual Final is booked for Saturday 28th June. We generally have between 70 & 100 people on the range on that day so if you can help with organisation or refereeing, we look forward to your contribution.

COUNTRY FAIR

The FOURTH Country Fair is scheduled for July 19th. Once again your help leading up to the day is needed to get the ground set up and looking perfect. Your support and help on the day is also needed, even more so since the Fair is growing in popularity. This year BASC has booked a stand and will be bringing their Laser Shot tent over, as an added attraction.

NEW SECRETARY.

This is my last Newsletter as Secretary of ACPC. Wayne Corlett is taking over this position and I urge you all to give him and the new Committee as much support as you have shown me during my years as Club Secretary. I have never doubted the appeal of Blue Point as a 1st class clay shooting facility and we have all worked hard to bring it to its present recognition. May it continue to grow in stature and may you all recognise the wider picture and the importance and enjoyment of shooting on the Isle of Man.
